COIR EXPORTERS ARE INCREASING YEAR BY YEAR. THERE ARE MORE SUPPLIERS FOR COIR THAN DEMAND FOR COIR, SO PRICES FALL. THERE IS ALSO A CUT THROAT COMPETITION BETWEEN COIR EXPORTERS, THIS FURTHER LOWERS THE EXPORT PRICE OF COIR PRODUCTS.
SOME FACTORIES ARE AUDIT CLEARED. OTHERS ARE NOT. BUT INDEED ALL OF THEM ARE ONE MAN ARMY. SO BUYERS MAY NOT GET A CORPORATE WORKING FEELING WHETHER THEY CHOOSE A BIGGER OR SMALLER EXPORTING COMPANY.
So when ever you select a supplier/ exporting company for coir products. first thing you do is compare energy levels of your supplier/exporting company ( Yes, i will call it energy levels). ie Perceived benefits = Both functional and emotional ie delivery, sampling, prompt replies, after sales follow up etc. I call it energy levels.
Then always ensure to get the value of below equations greater than 1 from your supplier/exporting company.
CONSUMER VALUE = PERCEIVED BENEFIT DIVIDED BY PRICE
Many coir exporting companies claim, they make entire production process of coir mat in House. Simply put, this is not true. Every company is out sourcing one or more production or processing activity outside (not in house) which they have no or have little control. But they claim 100% in house production . This is false truth.
I humbly request buyers only look at perceived value.
I know many International Buyers who have burned their fingers on working with bigger giants.
The exporting company who is gaint at one period of time looses all his business and becomes a zero.And person who is very poor person, comes in lime light with in a short period of time .
